Mark Wachtel Bcom, CA, FTIA, PTA Managing Director Vindico Partners
Specialising in estate planning, audit and assurance, and tax compliance and planning, Mark's role as Managing Director involves the implementation of tax effective strategies, the review of all compliance work, business development and management of the daily operations at Vindico Partners. Throughout his career, Mark has also provided specialist consulting services to a number of clients in a diverse range of industries, playing a pivotal role in a number of projects that have spanned from large solvency cases to expert advisory for family owned businesses in the SME sector. Prior to establishing his own business, Mark commenced his career as an undergraduate accountant with one of the world's leading accounting firms, Pricewaterhouse Coopers. Following the success of his undergraduate tertiary studies, he became a chartered accountant at 24 years and was soon after appointed Partner at Giffin & Shaw Accountants at 28 years. Strong leadership skills and an overriding aptitude for the profession saw Mark to move into increasingly senior roles, becoming Partner of national accounting firm Horwath for 3 years. Mark played an instrumental role in the growth and development of its retail motor sector in Queensland, individually spearheading Queensland operations for this national specialist firm. Following the collapse of the Horwath network in 2006, Mark established the independent boutique chartered accounting firm that is Vindico Partners. During this time, he also assisted in the founding of Auto Team Australia Consulting, a national association for specialist automotive accountants, where he is both Director and shareholder. Mark is committed to overseeing all facets of a growing firm that strives to ensure that client's strategic directions are met with dynamic and innovative solutions. Strongly valuing the long standing professional relationships he shares with his clients, Mark has succesfully established his clientele to include many of the leading motor industry businesses in both Queensland and the Northern Territory. Operating with an ethos that clients deserve professional advice that is accurate, timely and also exceeds expectations, Mark has built Vindico Partners to become an industry leader with a strong name in the niche market. Mark has worked in the chartered accounting profession in public practice since 1989, sustaining a turbulent career from a young age that has established him as a leading tax professional, company auditor and chartered accountant. Over 18 years of automotive industry experience paired with a long standing vision of an independent advisory firm drove Mark to establish Vindico Partners as a boutique business in 2006.
